8 slices of cinnamon swirl bread

2 medium bananas, sliced thin

3 eggs

1/3 cup sugar

1 cup milk

3 tbsp flour

4 oz cream cheese

2 tsp vanilla

Heat oven to 350 (if baking that day).

Butter a square baking dish, place 4 slices of bread on bottom of dish, add sliced bananas and top with the other 4 slices of bread.  In a blender, combine eggs, sugar, milk, flour, cream cheese and vanilla until smooth.  Pour the mixture over the bread stack.  Let stand for 5 minutes (or refrigerate overnight).  Bake 40-45 minutes (or 50-55 minutes if cold).  Let stand for 10 minutes.  Cut into diagonal pieces.  Top with powdered sugar and pure maple syrup!

     I read an article a while back about two families who “shared” a dog.  One was the primary residence but many days and nights were spent with the secondary family as well.  I can certainly see how Pip can call our home her ‘home-away-from-home’ anytime!
