Rated PG-13 – 1h40I know the doctors say I should cut back, but I would love an extra thrilling serving of Salt.Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) is a female action hero living up to her full potential. Two interesting notes I wanted to get out about the Academy Awards before I start losing my mind over the premiere of the final season of Lost.

I think they’ve achieved the goal of creating some extra excitement with ten nominees in the Best Picture category.  I don’t agree with the choices of District 9 or The Blind Side as picks.   Both are good movies, but not Oscar caliber.

I would have substituted Crazy Heart and A Single Man.

Avatar (directed by James Cameron) and The Hurt Locker (directed by Kathryn Bigelow) both lead the nominees with nine each including Best Picture.  The fact that they’re a divorced couple adds a little heat to the fire.  Let the battle of the sexes begin.

OK…more Oscars later.  I must start preparing for Lost.  They’re giving us the obligatory hour long recap episode, before two new hours.  Booyah!  It feels like forever since I’ve seen the series.

Checklist for tonight:   Comfy couch, snacks, coffee, TV remote, extra dog snacks so J.D. won’t be barking.

For those who need a refresher on where we are, here you go.

Another cool vid. Lost a la 24.
